Comitato Pari Opportunità nel mirino, oggetto del contendere di un Consiglio Comunale turbolento nel corso del quale si è dibattuto della legittimità dell’esistenza della Commissione presieduta da Silvana Ruggiero
Compatta la minoranza nelle accuse: “La maggioranza non poteva nominare la commissione o i membri, doveva essere indetto un bando e permettere a chiunque di farne parte” ha tuonato il consigliere di EPS Nino Lopresto “Noi avevamo chiesto l’inserimento nella commissione di due consiglieri comunali ed essendo tale commissione illegittima chiediamo che gli atti di costituzione vengano portati alla Prefettura”.
Gli fa eco il consigliere Tino Demaio: “La commissione potrebbe funzionare o meno. Non discutiamo questo, ma la sua legittimità. Non doveva e non poteva essere fatto nulla senza il consenso dei consiglieri di minoranza”.
Stizzita la replica del vicesindaco Giuseppe Spoleti, che propone addirittura la revisione del regolamento consigliare
Alle affermazioni dell’opposizione controbattono prima l’assessore alle Pari Opportunità Rocco Cambareri, e sorprendentemente il consigliere Felice Maceri che si schiera a favore della Commissione P.O., denunciando l’uso illegittimo di termini inappropriati, essendo state, le componenti della commissione, definite “componenti compiacenti della maggioranza” e tacciate come “presunte componenti”, termini successivamente chiariti dal consigliere Rottura, che ha dichiarato di averli utilizzati non per sminuire umanamente le persone, ma per delegittimare la figura istituzionale.
“La minoranza ha parlato di illegittimità della commissione, proponendo la consegna dei documenti alla Prefettura. Sono termini pesanti e li valuto negativamente” così il consigliere Maceri ha risposto ai consiglieri Demaio, Rottura e Lopresto “Non parlerei di illegittimità, anche se i termini non sono stati rispettati per questioni burocratiche. Se la minoranza era a conoscenza di questa situazione, perché non ha prodotto alcuna lettera per poter intervenire nella nomina dei componenti? Chiedo che venga chiesto scusa personalmente a queste donne per i termini impropri utilizzati nei loro confronti”.
Chiude la discussione l’intervento del Sindaco Cesare Zappia: “La commissione rimarrà cosi, non verrà intaccata e i lavori sono già cominciati. Non si richiede la presenza di membri uomini, tantomeno l’inserimento di consiglieri comunali in seno alla commissione, considerando che possono essere nominati in qualsiasi momento e che c’è stata unanimità nella scelta di Presidente e Vice presidente”.
A seguire la mozione di voto che ha bocciato la contestazione della minoranza, con 10 voti contro, 3 a favore e 1 astenuto, il neo-consigliere del Patto per Bagnara Siciliano, subentrato all’uscente Gregorio Frosina.
